I am attracted to the rocks of the earth. I feel that in its shape there is inherent the memory of a long time since prehistoric times. I have removed as much mass as possible and brought the shape of the rock closer to the existence of the image. I want to transmit a sense of magnificent space and time through the blank space that the surface of the rock envelopes.

 

大地の岩に想い惹かれる。その形の中に、太古からの永い時間の記憶が内在していると感じるからだ。その想いを封じ込めるように、限りなく質量を取り除き、金属でイメージ化した岩をボックスの中に配置する。岩の表面が包み込む「空」という間合いから、雄大な空間や時間の感覚を発信したい。
