Journey of Particles

100 magnets were glued onto the backside of recycled colored and rusted  disks made of steel sheet. At the beginning of the exhibition these disks were arranged into a 1’ diameter planet shaped circle which adhered to the surface of a 4’ x 8’ sheet of steel which was installed on the wall.

During the exhibition period, the steel disks, which represent elementary particles, could be moved around the universe of the steel board by visitors in whatever way they wished.  Under the 1’ diameter planet shape circle created by the disks was a circular shape painted in clear lacquer, thus showing the afterimage of its shape. I meant to express how people’s will affects the universe around them.
